Anyone running Saturday AM?
Just curious if anyone is planning on running this Saturday morning again. It sounds like many of you had a lovely run around the Argo/Bandemeer loop by the river last Saturday. I am still trying to coordinate my family plans on this end, but was curious if anyone is planning on being out this Saturday AM around 8:30.
Getting your Bike on!
Hey Ladies-
It's time to get out on the bike!!!! I know, I know its raining - but the good news is - April Showers bring...May Flowers...(no not pilgrims) Which means the weather is warming up!!! Giddy Up! It's time for the rubber to meet the road and see how it feels to ride outside.
So far, it looks like Saturday Morning will work the best for folks - If you haven't voted yet - please do so. I am out of town this Saturday - but let's think about riding next saturday morning. So, mark your calandars. I was thinking we could meet at either Barton Park or at the Dairy Queen in Dexter. I want to wait to see how windy it is that day.
Also, I'd love to hear how your running is going.
be well! Keep up the good work!

Anyone have advice?
First of all - I apologize for not making it to run on Saturday. I checked back faithfully until Thursday and then figured everyone was staying flexible to enjoy the weather!
So I am looking for advice on the plateau I seem to have reached in running. I am nowhere near the distance runner that most of you already are, but I seem to be able to consistently do about 3 miles. My issue is that I seem to have my "wind" all right, but my "legs" just don't seem to have caught up. They get so tired and I wind up just stopping and walking. I have great shoes, am well-hydrated, dressed for running, have great tunes...any suggestions? Also - the last time I ran was Thursday night - and I stopped and walked at about 2 miles for about 1/2 mile. Saturday I just biked and then slowly jogged 1 mile to experience the transition.
Now I have anxiety about running tonight - in fact - I am going to get back on my treadmill instead of going outside because I think I am more effective there. But seriously - any ideas?

Saturday morning run
Kristen Phipps - still want to go tomorrow? I added a comment on my last post to respond to you but it's not very visible. I'm still planning on running tomorrow and Laurel's planning on it, as well. We'll be going at 8:30 a.m. so hopefully you can make it. Why don't we meet in front of Cynthia's house since everyone knows where that is. Anyone else who wants to join us, please do! See you all then.

10 mile!
I'm loving this training regime (Run Less Run Faster)! I trained at the track twice this week and then ran 10 miles this morning. I am supposed to be cross training 2x a week too (swimming and biking) but have not been good about that yet. Hoping to do a 6am swim tomorrow at the Y.
It's great to have you all as support.

Gorgeous Day!
Thanks, Amy, for the motivation today! I did go for a bike ride and it was beautiful. I even did a little one-mile run afterwards to get the brick feeling and you are so right about how weird it feels. I'm excited for our group rides.
I'm looking for some runners for next Saturday - with a little more notice this time. Anyone who would like to join me for a run, I'm planning on going next Sat. around 9:30 but could be persuaded to go at a different time if that works better for someone. Laurel! I'm counting on you, girlfriend!

Great seeing everyone tonight!
Hi - just testing out the blog. I'm still not that thrilled about seeing myself as a follower AND a contributor, but alas, I'll focus on playing the role of contributor for now.
THANK YOU, Cynthia, for the wonderful dinner. Amy - your advice and suggestions are so motivating. Thank you for everything.
OK - Time to wrap up - I hope to see you all soon out on the streets!
